is Script Frenzy month, and Papyrus and Quills members are meeting on this

Yearbooks are still on sale for just $65 and can be purchased from any
yearbook staff member. Limited

ATTENTION
ANYONE PLANNING ON PLAYING FOOTBALL: There will be a very important
football meeting on Wednesday March 17th in the cafe at 2:15. This meeting is important for equipment
ordering and equipment distribution if you plan on playing football in the
spring or fall.

candidates must report to Room 219 for a meeting after school this Wednesday,

Do you like playing games? Do you have luck when it comes to
cards? If so, then join the Italian Club
on Wednesday, March 17 at 2:15 in room 139 for an afternoon of Italian style
card games. Both skill and luck are
required for these games. All are
welcome!
A representative from Lincoln Tech will be in the Career Center on
Wednesday, March 17th, at 9:00 a.m. to speak to students who are interested in
automotive or skilled trades. Sign up in the Guidance Office.
Any girl interested in playing golf should attend a brief meeting after
school on Thursday March 18th in the main gym.
In celebration of St.patrick's day this week come and join the
Art Club on Thursday and practice drawing celtic knots with a guide to help
you. You can use your design to make a clay pendant or ceramic plate in the
weeks ahead. The club meets every
Thursday from 2:15-3:30 in room 161. New members are always welcome and please
feel free to bring a friend.
ALL BOYS AND GIRLS interested in joining the track & field teams
please join us in the Main Gym at 2:15 on Thursday March 18th. This will be our last meeting before the
season starts On March 22nd. This is an important meeting the coaches want to
meet all team members and give out information about the season if you have any

Circle of Friends is holding it's kick-off event Thursday the 18th. We
will be in the small cafeteria from 2:15-3:30. Bring your friends and be
prepared to listen to music, eat pizza, meet new people, and get involved in a
great new program at MHS. See Ms. Gray or Mr. Oberlander with questions.
All students taking AP classes must register and pay for their AP exams
in the Guidance Office, room 117 by 3/19/10.
The fee is $86.00 per exam and checks should be made payable to MHS.

all Harry Potter fans: The next meeting of the Harry Potter Book Club will take place on
Friday, March 19 at 2:10 in room 217.
If you want something fun and exciting to do after school this Friday,
come to the Unified Sports Basketball Tournament from 3:00 to 6:00. Teams from
the surrounding area will get together and compete where everyone's a winner.

The MHS Driver
Education department announces its last class offering during the school
year. This is an evening session
beginning Monday, March 22. Classes will
be held from 6-8pm on Mondays and Thursdays for 8 weeks. Registration forms are available in the main
office or in guidance. Our next class
will be in July. See Mr. Rashaw or Mr.
Vousden for additional information.

Program for students entering grades 10-12.
This is a 4-week program focused on history and museum work. Financial assistance is available.

MassMutual Scholars Career Pathways Program - Up to $20,000. Graduating seniors who demonstrate a strong

CBCC Foundation Cindy Dimenstein Memorial Scholarship - High school
senior who is a resident of Connecticut, enrolling in a program of further

UConn's Explore Engineering Program - This one week residential program
is for current 10th and 11th graders.
Work with faculty and engineering students to learn what various

National Association for College Admission Counseling is hosting a Free
College Fair at the
Manchester Scholarship Foundation - Graduating seniors who are
Manchester residents, accepted to a college, university, community college or
other post secondary school full time for the fall of 2010, ranked in the top
65% of the class, and financial need.
